6. Using the Menu
The phone offers a range of functions that 
allow you to tailor the phone to your 
needs. These functions are arranged in 
menus and submenus.
Most of the menu functions are provided 
with a brief help text. To view the help 
text, scroll to the desired menu function 
and wait for 10 seconds. There are two 
ways to access a menu.
Accessing a menu 
function by scrolling
1. In the standby mode, press Menu
Scroll with 
 or  
 to reach the 
desired menu and press Select to enter 
the menu.
2. If the menu contains any submenus, 
find the one you want by scrolling with 
 or  
 and press Select to enter 
the submenu.
If the menu you have selected contains 
submenus, repeat this step.
3. Scroll with  
 or  
 to find the 
setting of your choice. Press OK or Se-
lect
 to confirm the shosen setting.
NOTE: 
You can return to the pre-
vious menu level by pressing 
Back. You can exit the menu 
without changing the menu set-
tings by pressing 
.
Accessing a menu 
function by using its 
shortcut
The menu items (menus, submenus and 
setting options) are numbered and can be 
accessed quickly by using their shortcut 
number. The shortcut number is shown in 
the top right corner of the display. For 
menu shortcuts, see the menu map.
1. In the standby mode, press Menu.
2. Key in the numbers of corresponding 
menu.
Example: setting Answer call to 
"Opening flap"
• After searching Answer call in the  
menu map of Owner's Guide, press 
Menu, ,  , , 
and  
in order by menu number.
 for Settings, 
 for Call set-
tings, 
 for Answer call and 
 
for 'Opening flap'.
