Press this button to stop a procedure midway through.
You can use this button to select the LCD monitor 
display.
Photography: Switches the LCD monitor on and off or 
displays the framing guides.
Playback: Switches text display off or selects multi-
frame playback.

Instructions for the next step in the procedure 
are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Press 
the button indicated.
For example, in the figure shown at right, pressing 
the “     ” button shows that DPOF settings are 
specified.
In the Owner's Manual the up, down, left and right directions on the 4-direction button are indicated by 
black triangles. Up and down are shown as “a” or “b”, while left and right are shown as “d” or “c”.

 Using the Menus
You’ve read the chapter on getting ready and the camera is now set up and ready to take pictures.
“Using the Camera” describes the basic camera operations of “Taking Pictures”, then “Viewing Images”
and “Erasing Images”.
This section describes the camera’s functions.

You can select the photography mode by turning the  Mode dial.

 Photo mode (    ) button
Photography: Allows you to select the Quality mode, 
sensitivity and FinePix COLOR settings.
Playback: Allows you to specify the print order (DPOF) 
settings.
Each time one of the “      ” to “      ” buttons is 
pressed, the setting for the function associated 
with that button (shown on the display panel) 
changes.
The function of each button changes depending 
on the photography mode and the display panel 
display changes accordingly.
