During replay, you can cue through the 
replay buffer forwards or backwards, play  
in slow motion, and step frame-by-frame or 
minute-by-minute. 
To replay a programme that 
you have paused … 
Press to replay the programme 
Use the number buttons to enter 
a specific point in time to go to 
in the buffer 
Press   or   repeatedly to step 
minute-by-minute forwards or 
backwards during replay 
Press the green button to cue 
backwards during replay. Press 
again to change speed 
Press the yellow button to cue 
forwards during replay. Press 
again to change speed 
Press the blue button to start 
slow replay 
Press again to change speed. 
Backwards slow replay is not 
possible 
Press to resume replaying the 
programme from the buffer 
Press   to ‘jump’ temporarily  
to the live signal, and 
 to jump 
back 
Press to pause replay 
While replay is paused, press 
 or   repeatedly to step frame-
by-frame forwards or backwards 
through the programme 
When you reach either end of 
the replay buffer, replay starts 
from that end automatically.  
It is not possible to view Teletext 
during replay. 
You can switch from one live source, such as 
V.TUNER, to another, such as STB, at any time, but 
the source you leave is no longer saved to the buffer 
after the switch. In this situation, the new source 
is saved. 
Switching to a non-live source, such as DVD, causes 
the hard disc recorder to stop saving to the buffer 
and ends replay. 
Important!
Content of the replay buffer is not protected. If the 
buffer is full and you continue to save programmes 
to it, the oldest content is deleted as the new 
programmes are saved. 
If you wish to be completely sure of keeping  
a programme, start a recording by selecting 
RECORD from the main menu.
