2.6 System Connections
The rear of the display unit provides the following connection sockets:

DC Power Connection
The DS400/500 is intended for use on the boat’s DC power systems rated
from 10-18 Volts DC (13.8V nominal).

The power connection to the unit should be made at either the output of the
battery isolator switch, or at a DC power distribution panel. Raymarine
recommends that power is fed directly to the DS400/500 via its own
dedicated cable system.
