Options > View, and click Show hidden files and folders.
Then try the search again.
If the ink file is not there, try searching (Start > Find, or Start >
Search) for the files with the extension .NBK. On the Windows
2000 operating system, you might have to use the procedure
detailed above to show hidden files and folders.
To open an ink file, start Ink Manager Pro, and select File > Open
My Ink Files to open an ink file in the default location. Or select
File > Open Other Ink Files and browse to find ink files stored in
other locations. Do NOT try to open the ink file from Windows
Explorer.
Ink Manager Pro questions
Can I use the digital notepad when the computer is turned off?
You can write on the ThinkScribe digital notepad with the
computer turned off or in standby mode (the digital notepad must
be turned on), which conserves the computer battery. The digital
notepad stores your ink. You should turn on the computer
occasionally to transfer your ink to the computer, which clears the
digital notepad memory. Then you can turn off the computer and
continue to use the digital notepad.
For more information about how to conserve the computer
battery, see “Digital notepad problems” earlier in this chapter.
How do I create an ink file name in Ink Manager Pro?
In Ink Manager Pro, right-click in the My Ink Files section of the
navigation panel, and select New Ink File. Type the name, (up to
16 characters), and select OK. If the digital notepad is turned on,
you can transfer the name to the Ink Files selector menu. See
Chapter 5: Managing Ink Files.
How can I see more alternatives for transcribed text?
You can set the number of alternates using File > Preferences >
Actions. See Chapter 2: Ink Manager Pro Setup for more
information about the Preferences window.
