How to install several OS on the same partition
In some cases a user might want to install several operating systems onto the
same partition. This is usually not possible due to system files conflicts, and even
operating systems from the same developer require different partitions for
installation.

Acronis OS Selector enables you to avoid this restriction easily by protecting
system files and folders of various OS from each other.

To install a new OS onto a partition where another operating system exists
(some version of Windows: 98/Me or NT/2000/XP), you need to do the following:

In the Tools group in the left side bar of Acronis OS Selector, select Options
→ General options and flag Yes, protect folders;
In the active OS Properties select Folders and set Enable option in each
folder Properties (see 7.7.4 «Folders»);
After that system files and folders of an existing OS will be stored in
BOOTWIZ folder and made inaccessible for other OS installed.
Reboot the PC to finish the configuration.
Now you can start installing a new OS from a bootable diskette or CD or from
under Windows.
