Putting tracks into groups
You can record a number of tracks onto an MD when you use LP2 and
LP4 recording modes. You can manage these tracks by putting them into
groups.
You can create up to 99 groups, depending on the available space in
UTOC.
For example, putting tracks 3, 4 and 5 into a group.

¡
Tracks can only be grouped in sequence (e.g., 1,2,3,4,5).
Tracks separated by other tracks cannot be grouped, so, for example,
you cannot group tracks 3, 7, and 9.
¡
A group can be made from one track.
¡
A single track cannot be put into more than one group.
¡
Groups are not ordered in the order you create them. They are
ordered by track numbers.
¡
If you create groups with this unit and then edit on a unit that is
incompatible with group functions, the group information may be
rendered unusable.
¡
The disc title may not be displayed correctly on a unit that is
incompatible with group functions.
¡
After using editing functions (
\
pages 32 to 35) on a disc with groups,
the UTOC is refreshed to maintain consistent group information.
