The x3630 M4 server supports the following internal storage configurations:

Four 3.5-inch SATA simple-swap drive bays



Eight 3.5-inch SATA simple-swap drive bays



Eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays



Twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays



Fourteen 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays



In addition, four and eight bay models support the installation of either an internal optical drive or an 
internal tape drive.
