The Setup Menu

 A SCREEN SET-UP

Adjust display settings.

Choose how long pictures are displayed in the LCD monitor after shoot-
ing.
•  1.5 SEC, 0.5 SEC: Pictures are displayed for 1.5 seconds (1.5 SEC) or 0.5 sec-

onds (0.5 SEC). Colors may diff er slightly from those in the fi nal image.

•  ZOOM (CONTINUOUS): Pictures are displayed until the MENU/OK button is 

pressed.

•  OFF: Pictures are not displayed after shooting.

• When ON is selected, exposure setting is applied to the image dis-

played in the LCD monitor.

 

R Choose OFF when exposure changes, such as using fl ash.

Control the brightness of the display.

Select ON to make the display in the monitor easier to read in bright light.

Choose the type of framing grid available in shooting mode.

F GRID 9: For “rule of thirds” composition.

• 

G GRID 24: A six-by-four grid.

• 

H HD FRAMING: Frame HD pictures in the crop shown by the lines at the 
top and bottom of the display.

Choose ON to automatically rotate “tall” (portrait-orientation) pictures dur-
ing playback.

Choose a color scheme.
