NAT
TCP timeout: 1 ... 9999
The value of the TCP timeout (default: 130) specifies
after how many minutes without data traffic a connec-
tion entry in the NAT table will be marked as inactive.
after how many minutes without data traffic a connec-
tion entry in the NAT table will be marked as inactive.
If there are not enough spaces in the NAT table avail-
able, all inactive entries are deleted, thus making new
spaces available.
able, all inactive entries are deleted, thus making new
spaces available.
As the NAT table allows a maximum of 1024 entries,
i.e. it allows 1024 connections that are open simulta-
neously; a value that is suitable for the requirements
of the connected network segment should be selected.
We recommend keeping the default value at 130 min-
utes. Only if very many, but at the same time very
short TCP connections from the local network into the
Internet are expected should this value be adjusted
downwards.
