Use Configure Boot Parameters to configure the Gateway for 
outroute reception and downloading of software. For initial 
installation, most parameters must be entered, except for VSAT 
Return Path, which is always “Inroute.” 

Thus, you will need your installer ID, and you will need all 
necessary information to enter data for the fields marked with an 
asterisk in Figure 80. One asterisk means the installer must 
provide or obtain the information; two asterisks means the 
information is global for all installations. Refer to Appendix A 
for information on how to determine how to convert 
degrees/decimal values to degree/minutes values.

1. Enter 

 at the 

 prompt. Each parameter shown in 

Figure 80 appears, one at a time, one line at a time. 
For example, the first parameter to appear after you enter 

is 

the VSAT Return Path Parameter, as shown in Figure 79.

.

All the parameters are shown in the 

 screen in Figure 80. The screen is displayed by 

entering 

 at the 

 prompt.

Note:

If you will be using the Outdoor Pointing Interface (OPI) 

device, remember that the LNB 22KHz Switch parameter must be 
set to "OFF" to enable the device. You may leave the parameter at 
OFF for the rest of the installation. The instructions below 
describe how to set parameters.
