Key Application Requirements
Must remove cleanly.
Product Replaced
Corrugated material.
Benefits/Advantages To Customer
Adhesive removes cleanly: 3M
Protective Tape 2AU23B/UV has a low-tack
adhesive that removes cleanly.  The door is exposed to sunlight on the job site
and must remove easily and cleanly in one piece.  The 3M protective tape
2AU23B/UV allows the film to remove cleanly after being exposed to UV from
sunlight up to 90 days.
Reduces rework: The 3M protective tape 2AU23B/UV protects the doors from
abrasion and marring.  Corrugated is less expensive, but this cost savings will
disappear if the corrugated fails to protect the doors from damage.
Reduces door damage costs:  Doors having a retail of as much as $3,000 are
shipped by container to the Bahamas and other locales in the Caribbean.  If they
are damaged during shipment and can’t be repaired without being sent back to
the factory, they are usually scrapped because of the high cost of return freight.
Because 3M protective tape 2AU23B/UV does a better job preventing damage
to doors during shipment than just using corrugated, spending about $1.00 more
per door may save you thousands of dollars.
