8. Commissioning
First take the outdoor sensor into operation and then the weather station.
a) Outdoor Sensor
•  Open the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor by pulling the battery compartment
(14) lid out downwards.
•  Select a transmission channel (1, 2 or 3) with the slider (17). If you operate only a single
outdoor sensor, you should set the outdoor sensor to channel 1. If several outdoor
sensors are operated (up to 3 are possible), set a different channel for each outdoor
sensor.
•  Insert two type AAA/Micro batteries in the battery compartment in the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-). The display of the outdoor sensor briefly shows all display
segments, and then the first measured value for temperature and humidity.
•  Briefly push the button „°C/°F“ (16) in the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor
to switch between the temperature unit °C (degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahren-
heit).
•  Close the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor again.
b) Weather Station
•  Open the battery compartment (2) on the back of the weather station.
•  Insert three type AA/Mignon batteries in the battery compartment in the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-).
•  Close the battery compartment again.
•  Right after inserting the batteries into the weather station, all display segments appear
briefly and several beeps are emitted.
•  Then the barometric pressure is measured. It flashes roughly at the centre of the dis-
play. About 30 seconds later, the weather station will start scanning for the available
outdoor sensors (one is enclosed, up to two more can be ordered as accessories).
The sensor search takes about 3 minutes.  Do not move the weather station and outdoor
sensor during this time and do not push any button at the weather station.
By pushing the button „TEST“ (15) in the battery compartment of the outdoor
sensor, a data package is sent manually, which permits faster recognition of
the outdoor sensor by the weather station.
