Internal listening in on an 
external call
You are conducting an external call. An 
internal party can listen in on this call and 
also take part in the conversation. All the 
parties are made aware of this by a signal 
tone. 
Precondition: The Listening In function is 
activated.

Enter system PIN (p. 52) and 
press 
OK

Internal listening in
In use
 is shown in your handset display. 
You would like to listen in on the existing 
external call.
Press and hold the talk key. 
You can now listen in on the 
call. All parties hear a signal 
tone.
Ending listening in:
 
Press the end call key (signal 
tone).
If the first internal party presses the end 
call key 
a, a signal tone sounds. The 
handset that is listening in is still 
connected to the external party however. 
Changing the name of a 
handset
During registration, the names "INT 1", 
"INT 2" etc. are assigned automatically. 
You can change these names. The name 
can be up to 10 characters long. The 
changed name is displayed in the list of 
every handset.
Open list of handsets.

Select handset.
Edit
Press the display key.

Enter name.
Save
Press the display key.
Changing a handset's internal
number
A handset is automatically assigned the 
lowest unassigned number when it is 
registered. If all the numbers have been 
assigned, number 6 is overwritten 
provided the handset is in idle status. You 
can change the internal number of all 
registered handsets (1–6). 
Open list of handsets.
v Open 
menu.
Edit H/Set No.
Select and press 
OK
. The list of 
handsets is displayed.

The current number flashes. 
Select a handset.

Enter the new internal number 
(1–6). The handset's old 
number is overwritten.
Save
Press the display key to save 
the entry.
Long press (idle status). 
You will hear the error tone if you assign 
an internal number twice (a falling tone 
sequence). Repeat the process with an 
unused number.
