Customizing Your Device

Customize Home screen

The Home screen is the main screen for accessing device features. You can 

personalize the background image and color scheme, or change the layout 
settings to display only the date and time. To customize:

1. On the Home screen, select Start > Settings.
2. Scroll to and select Home Screen.
3. Scroll to the following categories and move the 

Navigation key left or right to 

select

   Home screen layout: Select to change the information shown, color 

scheme, and background displayed on your Home screen.

■

   Color scheme: Select the color scheme used for task bars, tool bars and 

more.  Normally you will want to leave this to default, as the home screen 

layout often will set the color scheme for you.

■

   Background image: Select the background image displayed on your 

Home Screen.  Normally you will want to leave this to default, as the home 

screen layout will often set the background image for you.

■

   Time out: Select to adjust the length of time your display stays lit after your 

last action.

4. To save your changes, select Done > Done

Changing ringtone

1. On the Home screen, select Start > Settings.
2. Scroll to and select Sounds.
3. At Ring tone, press the 

Left or Right Navigation key to hear the tones.

4. To save your changes, select Done > Done.
