Activating Voice Privacy
When you activate your phone’s Voice Privacy 
feature, you request your cellular system to search 
for a Voice Privacy channel with each call. If no 
Voice Privacy channel is available (or your call is 
“handed off” to a cell where a Voice Privacy 
channel is not available), five short beeps alert you 
that the call is no longer private.
You must select the Voice Privacy feature before 
you make a call in order for that call to search for a 
Voice Privacy channel.
Note: 
This feature is not available in all markets. 
Contact your Service Provider for additional 
information about your service area.
To turn the Voice Privacy feature on or off:
1.
Follow the steps in the ”Getting to Lock/
Security…” block above to select Voice 
Privacy. You will see Privacy Off or Privacy 
Preferred.

to toggle between Privacy Off and 
Privacy Preferred.

Press

 to exit, or scroll to other features.
