You can assign ratings of 1 to 5 stars ( ) to songs and then search for songs by 

their star ratings ( page 21).

There are 2 types of ratings: ratings that you assign to songs manually and 

ratings assigned automatically by SonicStage.

 Hint

 Pressing the / button enables you to find the beginning of the next or previous song, 

and you can assign ratings continuously.

 When you apply ratings to songs, the ratings are not available for searching until the 

next time you connect the player to SonicStage.

 If you transfer a song which has not yet been rated on “  Rating” using SonicStage, the 

rating of the song is displayed as “

” (manual rating) on the player. 

The “  Rating” status of a song cannot be restored to the status it had before the song 

was rated on the player.


