5 Update your player
Your player is controlled by an internal program called the firmware. Newer versions of the
firmware may have been released after you have purchased your player.

5.1 Manually verify whether your firmware is up

Connect your player to the computer.

Launch Philips Device Manager from Start > Programs > Philips Digital Audio

Make sure you are connected to the internet.

Click Update.
> Philips SA31XX Device Manager will check whether a new firmware is available on the

When Update completed appears on the screen, click OK and disconnect the player.

The player will automatically restart after the firmware has been completely updated. Your player
is now ready for use again.
