General
The power will not turn on.
e
Check that the power cord is completely plugged into
the power outlet.
No sound is output.
e
Select the source using the SOURCE button.
e
Check the connection to the speakers.
e
Adjust the volume.
e
Unplug headphones from the PHONES jack.
e
If “MUTE” is displayed, press the MUTE button.
The sound is noisy.
e
The unit is too close to a TV or similar device. Install
the unit away from such devices, or turn them off.
Remote control does not work.
e
Press the STANDBY/ON button to turn the unit on.
e
If the batteries are exhausted, change the batteries.
e
Point the remote control at the front panel of the unit
from a distance of less than about 5 m (16 ft).
e
Clear obstacles between the remote control and the
main unit.
e
If a strong light is near the unit, turn it off.

Will not play.

Load a disc with the label side up.
e
If the disc is dirty, clean the surface of the disc.

If a blank CD-R/CD-RW has been loaded, load a
prerecorded disc.

This unit might not be able to play some CD-R/CD-RW
discs depending on the disc quality and recording
conditions.

You cannot play back unfinalized CD-R/RW discs with
this unit. Finalize such a disc in the CD recorder you
used to create the disc and try again.

Place the unit on a stable place to avoid vibrations
and shocks.

Do not use scratched, damaged or warped discs.
