Dividing a recording track
When recording from tape, radio, music port or AUX source, you can 
divide tracks with:
•  AUTO 5M: A track is automatically divided at 5-minute intervals.
•  MANUAL: Press [OK] during recording to add a track mark. If 
you do not add a track mark manually, a track mark is added 
automatically at 60-minute intervals.
Select the source you want to record.
 Press [SETUP]. 
“TRDIVIDE” is shown.
Press [R/T] to select “AUTO 5M” or “MANUAL”.
Press [OK] to add a track mark during recording.
Add a track mark at the end of each track during cassette tape 
recording.
Skip unwanted noise by making a new track.
Note:
When you press [OK] while you record in the AUTO 5M mode, the 
5-minute count will be reset.
 Recording MP3 contents
You can record MP3 contents from a data disc.
Put in the disc.
Press [4, DVD/CD] and then press [8] two times.
Press [R/T] to select the group and press [OK].
Do this step again if there are subgroups.
Press [7, USB] to start recording.
Recording starts from the first content.

Stop recording
Press [8].
Recording stops at the last fully recorded 
content in the group.
Example: If you stop recording during the 
fourth content, only the first three 
contents are recorded. “NO FILE 
RECORDED” is shown if no 
content is recorded.
Delete a 
recorded 
content
(Z right, “Deleting the contents”)
Note:
•  Some contents can use a longer time to record.
•  Some MP3 contents cannot be recorded because of the condition 
of the disc.

Press [4, USB] and then press [8] two times.
Press [R/T] to select the group.
Press [OK] and then press [R/T] to select a content.
 Press [DEL].

Is it OK to delete?
Yes
No
Press [Y/U] to select “Yes” or “No” and press [OK].
Select “Yes” to delete a content. “DELETING” blinks on the 
display panel.
Note:
•  “USB WRITE PROTECTED” is shown if the USB mass storage 
device is locked.
•  You cannot delete groups that have subgroups or unsupported 
contents.
