Does the LED status of the 
Xerox 4500 PS TR appear normal?
Check for status of the LED s.
Can you PING the 
Xerox 4500 PS TR ?
If not, the reason may be that one of the bridges is actually a router.
In that case, the  Xerox 4500 PS TR and PSF/2-PSF/AIX should have
different IP network IDs. PSF2/PSF6000 should have a default
router and the  Xerox 4500 PS TR should be configured with a
gateway address.
You may also have used an invalid IP address in network.
Refer to the section : ”Testing the Xerox 4500 PS TR ” for a description of
how to "PING".
Are you unable / able to generate a test printout?
Unable:
  Check the connection and the configuration to the BOOTP 
server.
Check the status of the attached PCL printer.
Able:
Check the configuration of PSF/2 or PSF/AIX.
Check the connection from the  Xerox 4500 PS TR to the PSF/2 or 
PSF/AIX servers.
Have changes been made since the initial installation and
configuration of the 
Xerox 4500 PS TR ?
If you suspect that changes have been made to LAN, PSF/2 or PSF/AIX
or the bootp server since the initial installation and con figuration of the
Xerox 4500 PS TR, contact your system administrator.
  Check that the configuration of the bootp server complies with the 
requirements.
