Introduction 
 

The new Hitachi Ultrastar 10K300 offers capacities of 
300 GB, 147 GB and 73 GB in Ultra 320 SCSI models.  
The high reliability and excellent performance of the 
Hitachi Ultrastar 10K300 are the result of the implemen-
tation of a number of advanced disk drive technologies, 
including giant magnetoresistive head technology, No-
ID sector formatting, Predictive Failure Analysis, and 
ECC on the fly correction.
