To change or add a memory module to the memory module slot on the bottom of the computer

Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices.

Unplug the computer and remove the battery.

Wait until the computer cools down.

Unscrew the central screw on the bottom of the computer and remove the memory module compartment cover.

Touch a metal object (such as the connector panel on the back of the computer) to discharge static electricity.
