always discharge the CRT 

before working on it.

  Never dis-

charge the CRT while 

wearing a grounding 

wriststrap.
40 Remove your grounding 

wriststrap.

41 Attach the clip of the 

CRT discharge tool to 

the unit’s metal chassis.
