Rules-based “bursting” automatically selects and sends only the
relevant sections of reports captured in HP Output Server, getting the
relevant sections of reports captured in HP Output Server, getting the
right information to the right people.
First, reports are sent out of the application and electronically captured by HP
Output Server; HP Output Distributor’s rules engine then evaluates content and
“bursts” it into relevant sub-sections; these sub-sections are automatically routed
based on defined distribution lists, and end users receive reports via print, fax,
email, web, FTP, or wireless device—according to their preference. In addition,
sub-documents from separate applications can be “bundled” together into one
document and sent to one or multiple destinations.
