Replacement Product Information
Customers are encouraged to migrate from the Cisco CSS 11800 to either the Cisco CSS 11500 or the CSM.
The CSM offers high performance and transport and application (Layer 4–7) features as rich as those in WebNS.
Fully integrated with the Cisco IOS® Software, the Cisco Catalyst® 6500 Series, and the Cisco 7600 Internet Router,
the CSM also supports high port densities and rich internetworking features.
The Cisco CSS 11500 is a standalone, compact modular platform, delivering rich transport and application
(Layer 4–7) services for Internet and intranet data centers.
Table 2 summarizes select differentiating features for the Cisco CSS 11800, CSS 11506, and CSM.
