Viewing Footnotes and References
Throughout this digital book you’ll see bibliographic
references, cross-references, and footnotes. They
are represented by these symbols:

When you see one of these symbols, you can view a
footnote or reference. (Bibliographic references
appear directly after section and chapter titles.) The
example below uses a bibliographic reference in
