Highlighting Search Words
You can also search for a word by
highlighting it in a quotation. Try this
example.
1. From the Authors menu,
select Homer.
To learn how, read “Finding Quo-
tations by Author.”
2. Press 
ENTER
 to start the highlight.
You can turn off the highlight by
pressing 
BACK
.
3. Use the arrows keys to scroll
down and highlight Achilles.
4. Press 
ENTER
 to search for it.
5. Hold  
 and press 
 repeat-
edly to see the other matches.
6. Press 
MENU
 to see the matches
listed on the menus.
7. Press 
CLEAR
 when done.
Reading Footnotes
and Cross-references
Many quotations in this book have
footnotes, marked with an

. And
many footnotes have cross-refer-
ences to other quotations, marked
with a
  Q 
, for “quotation”. Here’s an
example of how to read them.
