•  Do not abuse the cord.  Never carry the charger or base by the cord or yank to disconnect 

from an outlet; instead grasp the charger and pull to disconnect.  Keep cord away from 

heated surfaces. Do not pull cord around sharp edges or corners.  Do not close door on 

the charger cord.

•  Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.

•  This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Do not incinerate batteries 

or expose to high temperatures, as they may explode.

•  Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.

•  Do not put any object into openings.

•  Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may 

reduce air flow.

•  Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.

•  Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. 

•  Do not use without filters in place.

•  Turn off all controls before unplugging.

•  Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.

•  Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas 

where they may be present.

•  Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions.  If the liquid, which is 20-35% 

solution of potassium hydroxide, gets on the skin (1) wash quickly with soap and water or (2) 

neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush 

them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.

•  Power switch must be in the OFF position.

•  Keep the charger plugged into a standard outlet at all times. It is normal for the charger to become warm to 

the touch when charging.

• The indicator light will come on to indicate that the appliance is charging. The light will not change when the unit is  
  charged. 
•  If the operating time gets shorter after repeated use, let the unit run until it stops running. Recharge for 24 

hours and repeat monthly for best results.

NOTE: Power Supply for use only in the USA & Canada.

Designed to sit on a flat surface.

TO USE:  Slide the power switch to the ON position.
TO TURN UNIT OFF:  Slide the power switch to the OFF position.

      •  Empty and clean the unit and filter after each use or after large pickups when the unit becomes full.

The crevice tool is permanently stored on-board. It is located on the top of the dirt cup for your convenience.

 

Press the crevice tool 

release button. 

Flip crevice tool down to line 

up with nozzle then press up 

until secure in place.

To store crevice tool: Pull down until loose. 

Flip  crevice tool up towards unit and press 

until you feel it lock into place.

Gently push filter back 

into dirt cup.

Remove  dirt  cup  from 

unit. Grasp tab and pull 

filter assembly.

Twist old filter to remove 

from filter adapter.

Twist and lock new filter 

into filter adapter.

Return  filter  assembly 

to dirt cup. Return dirt 

cup to base of unit.

CUP:  Align  bottom 

first and rotate nozzle 

up, until it snaps into 

place.

Depress the dirt cup release 

button and pull nozzle away 

from unit.

Hold nozzle over a wastebas-

ket.  Grasp  filter  and  gently 

pull out.

Shake excess dirt and debris out of dirt cup. 

For best results, tap filter against wastebasket 

to remove remaining dirt.

To the consumer, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. warrants this vacuum cleaner to be free of defects in material or work-

manship commencing upon the date of the original purchase.  Refer to your vacuum cleaner carton for the length of 

warranty and save your original sales receipt to validate start of warranty period.

If the vacuum cleaner should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any defective parts 

free of charge.  The complete machine must be delivered prepaid to any ROYAL Authorized Sales & Warranty Service 

Station.  Please include complete description of the problem, day of purchase, copy of original sales receipt and your 

name, address and telephone number.  If you are not near a Warranty Station, call the factory for assistance at USA:

•  Ne malmenez pas le cordon électrique.  Ne transportez jamais le chargeur ou la base

chargeur et tirez dessus pour le débrancher.  Tenez le cordon hors de portée des sur-

REMARQUE: 

Pour recharger l’appareil, utilisez uniquement les chargeurs 

                         fournis par le fabricant.

IMPORTANT: AVANT DE L’UTILISER POUR LA PREMIÈRE FOIS, CHARGEZ VOTRE 

                       APPAREIL PENDANT AU MOINS 24 HEURES.

•  L’interrupteur doit être en position ARRÊT.

•  Laissez le chargeur branché à une prise standard en permanence. Il est normal que le chargeur chauffe pen 

  dant le chargement.

•  Le  témoin  s’allume  pour  indiquer  que  l’appareil  se  recharge.  Il  ne  change  pas  de  couleur  quand  l’appareil  se 

recharge.

•  Si la durée de fonctionnement raccourcit après un usage répété, laissez l’appareil en marche jusqu’à ce qu’il  

  s’arrête de lui-même. Rechargez-le ensuite pendant 24 heures et répétez la procédure tous les mois pour  

  obtenir de meilleurs résultats.

NOTA : Le bloc d’alimentation ne peut être utilisé qu’aux États-Unis et au Canada.

UTILISATION :  Faites glisser l’interrupteur en position MARCHE.

POUR ÉTEINDRE L’APPAREIL :  Faites glisser l’interrupteur en position ARRÊT.
