INTRODUCTION
PLAYING THE GAME
QUICK START
SAFE BATTERY USAGE
• Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.
• Use only the type battery recommended for the unit.
• Batteries should be replaced only by an adult.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity ( + and – ).
• Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new
batteries.
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• When not used for an extended time, remove batteries to
prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit.
• Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy
before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under
adult supervision.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may leak or
explode.
NOTE:  The voltage of a fully-charged, rechargeable battery
is often lower than that of a fresh alkaline battery.
Therefore, it is recommended that alkaline batteries be used
instead of rechargeable batteries for best performance and
for longest play time.
EPILEPSY WARNING
READ THIS NOTICE BEFORE YOUR OR
YOUR CHILD USE ANY VIDEO GAME
A very small percentage of individuals may experience
epileptic seizures when exposed to certain light patterns or
flashing lights. Exposure to certain patterns, or
backgrounds, on a television screen or while playing video
games may induce an epileptic seizure in these individuals.
Certain conditions may induce previously undetected epileptic
symptoms even in persons who have no history of prior
seizures or epilepsy. If you, or anyone in your family, have an
epileptic condition, consult your physician prior to playing. If
you experience any of the following while playing – dizziness,
altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness,
disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions –
IMMEDIATELY discontinue use and consult your physician
before resuming play.

Battery Installation
Turn the ON/OFF switch on the Guitar to “OFF”.  Then:
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the
screw and battery compartment cover from the back
of the Guitar.
2. Install four (4) AA  alkaline batteries (not included)
making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper
direction as indicated inside the battery
compartment.
3. Replace the compartment cover and tighten the
screw.
FCC WARNING
CAUTIONS
- To reduce risk, allow a distance of 5 feet (152cm)
between the player and the television set when
playing the game.
- To avoid electrical shock, do not remove the battery
cover when the game is powered ON.
- Emissions or interference of surrounding electronic
equipment may affect operating performance.
- Static electricity may cause this product to
malfunction and your score may be lost. If malfunc-
tion occurs, have an adult reset the product by
removing and replacing the batteries.
Guitar Strap Installation
• Place the clip on one end of the Guitar Strap over the
peg on the bottom of the guitar and press firmly until
the clip snaps securely over the peg.
• Install the clip on the other end of the Guitar Strap
onto the peg on the top edge of the Guitar body in
the same manner.
• Adjust the Guitar Strap using the buckle in the
middle area of the Strap.
NOTE:  The Guitar can easily be used either right-handed or left-handed.
Make sure your television is turned “OFF”, then:
1. Insert the color-coded AV plugs on the Guitar cable
into the appropriate AV inputs on your television set,
matching the color of the plug to the color of the
input.
TROUBLESHOOTING & TIPS
2. Switch your television “ON” and set it to the correct
A/V channel. (Refer to your television user manual.
Examples of some channels are: Input 1, Input 2,
Channel 3 but these channels vary from set to set.)
3. Turn the ON/OFF switch on the Guitar to “ON” and
the game will begin.
1. A title screen will appear.
2. Press any key to jump to “Charac-
ter Select Screen”. (see Fig. 3)
3. Press the left side or right side of the dial-shaped
button on the guitar body (next to the ON/OFF
button) to select a character (see Fig. 4), then press
any key to confirm.
4. A “Select Song” screen will appear with 7 different
songs to choose from. (see Fig. 5)
5. Press the dial on the guitar body
left or right to move through the
    list of songs.
6. When you reach the song you wish to play, press any
button to start the game and the “Game Screen” will
appear. (see Fig. 6)
7. When the music starts, colored blocks will begin
moving up the columns toward the rectangles. When a
block reaches the rectangle above it, press the
matching color button on the guitar neck and the
trigger on the guitar body AT THE SAME TIME.
8. Pressing the color button and strumming the trigger
both at the same time when the block is exactly in the
middle of the rectangle earns you a GOOD note.  A
BAD note message appears when the block touches
the rectangle but is not exactly in the center of it.  A
MISS message appears if the block is totally outside
the rectangle.
9. Scoring consecutive GOOD notes increases the count
on the COMBO Counter.  When the COMBO Counter is
at 3 or more, you will earn bonus points for every
GOOD note you earn. Be careful, though, as a BAD or
MISS note resets the COMBO Counter to zero.
10. Occasionally a guitar will appear in the Rock Out
Column (At the right hand side of the two column). To
score, wait until the guitar is exactly inside the
outline at the top of the column, then quickly tilt the
head of the guitar straight up in the air.
11. The game is over when the song has ended. A screen
will then appear showing your score and how many
times you have made a GOOD, BAD or MISS, as well
as your highest achieved COMBO count. (see Fig. 7)
Now that you know how to groove, challenge your
friends to compete in a rock concert playoff!
WARNING
REPETITIVE STRAIN WARNING
Some people may experience fatigue or
discomfort after playing for a long time.
Regardless of how you feel, you should ALWAYS take a 10 to
15 minute break every hour while playing. If your hands or
arms become tired or uncomfortable while playing, stop and
rest. If you continue to experience soreness or discomfort
during or after play, listen to the signals your body is giving
you. Stop playing and consult a doctor. Failure to do so could
result in long term injury.
If your hands, wrist or arms have been injured or strained in
other activities, use of your system could aggravate the
condition. Before playing consult a doctor
