There are several connection options: 

• Parallel 

port 

• USB-port 
•  External network port (optional) 
 
Parallel port 
It is recommended to use the IEEE-1284 parallel cable. 
(for Windows 2000- or Windows XP-operating systems) 
 

                  

 

USB-port 
It is recommended to use the USB 2.0 cable 
(for Windows 2000- or Windows XP-operating systems).  
The cable should not be longer than 3 meter. 

 

 

 
External Ethernet print server (optional) 
The printer can also be connected with a Ethernet print server to a network.  
Fast Ethernet print server should be connected to the parallel port of the
