Define the following parameters for the AT Terminal (TTY) test: 

Mode: Select the message sending mode. 

•  Character, by selecting this mode each single character is sent as soon as it 

is pressed on the keyboard. 

•  Message, by selecting this mode the entire outgoing message is sent only 

after the completion of it.  

Auto LF: In ‘Message’ mode, control characters are inserted at the end of the 
message. These characters are responsible for data traffic regulation and are: CR 
(Carriage Return, in order to place the next message at the beginning of the line) and 
LF (Line Feed, in order to place the next message at the head line). Only in 
‘Message’ mode. 

•  Yes, to insert automatically the control character LF at the end of the 

message  

•  NO, to disable the insertion of the control character LF 

Show control characters: To show on the screen the control character CR and LF 
(not printable). This field regards only messages in reception. 

•  YES, the control characters CR and LF are shown on the screen, but not 

interpreted.  

•  NO, the characters are interpreted, but not displayed.
