A very popular example of emerging technology in the workplace is the wireless network-enabled 

personal digital assistant (PDA).  Gartner Research reports that nearly half of all new PDAs are 

purchased by enterprises, which means that they are being put to work as business-productivity 

tools. Microsoft Windows CE, also known as Mobile Edition, has emerged as the operating system
