ezAttendant with Centralized Attendant service 
 
Application  
A manufacturing company has a headquarters location that supports manufacturing, 
warehousing, and administrative functions. Based on their rapid expansion in their market, they 
find themselves in the position where they have to move the manufacturing and warehouse 
operations to offsite locations to handle the increased demand for their products. The dilemma 
facing the executive committee – do they add additional administrative staff for each of the 
remote sites along with stand alone key systems; or, do they provide a networked solution to 
take advantage of Telenium
IP
 centralized services to control administrative overhead while 
providing a distributed, seamless network solution? They chose the networked Telenium
IP
 
solution. 
 
This company was able to address the requirement without adding administrative staff at the 
remote sites by using a centralized attendant at the main office.  ezAttendant is a Windows-
based client application designed to visualize and enhance call processing and handling for the 
Telenium
IP 
system. The ezAttendant application resides on the attendant's personal computer. 
 
The ezAttendant screen provides visual status of registered Telenium
IP 
users in the Station 
window with the Station Field View showing DSS/Status buttons. These buttons provide more 
detailed information on the status of users then available from the DSS/BLF buttons and LCD of 
normal multi-button phones by employing icons to denote status: Forward, DND, etc., combined 
with station name and number information. The alternative List View includes status icons for all 
users in a spreadsheet-style list which can be viewed, edited, searched and used for placing calls.
