MX7 Reference Guide 

Discover and manage pairing with nearby Bluetooth devices. Non-LXE Bluetooth devices may be 
discovered but are inaccessible to the MX7 user as they are filtered out on the Bluetooth Devices 
panel and are not displayed. Your Bluetooth panel setups may be different than those shown on 
the following pages. The MX7 does not have a Bluetooth managed LED.

Bluetooth taskbar Icon state and Bluetooth device Icon states change as Bluetooth devices are 
discovered, pair, connect and disconnect. There may be audible or visual signals as paired devices 
re-connect with the mobile device.

The default Bluetooth setting is On.  

• 

The MX7 cannot be discovered by other Bluetooth devices when the Computer is 
discoverable option is disabled (unchecked) on the Settings panel.  

• 

Other  Bluetooth devices cannot be discovered if they have been set up to be Non-
Discoverable or Invisible. 

• 

The mobile device can pair with one Bluetooth scanner and one Bluetooth printer.  

• 

Paired scanners and printers must be deleted before a different scanner or printer can be 
paired with the MX7. 

• 

The remote Bluetooth device should be as close as possible, and in direct line of sight, to 
the MX7 during the pairing process. 

Assumption: 

The System Administrator has Discovered and Paired targeted Bluetooth 

devices for the MX7. The MX7 operating system has been upgraded to the revision level required 
for Bluetooth client operation.
