 CONFIGURATION 
"Engine Access Control" tab/User authentication 
With the function "User authentication" of the RW-480 plotter, 
you can check which user printed how much and also stipulate 
which users are allowed to print at all. The "User authentication" 
function can provide customers access limitation management 
by individual users and groups of users. By utilizing access 
limitation management, it is possible to limit the machine's 
available functions and to protect the machine settings and files 
and data stored in the machine from unauthorized access. 
To utilize authentication function, administrator must be 
registered. The administrators manage access to the allocated 
functions, and users can use only the functions they are 
permitted to access. 
   
The following steps are necessary to use this function: 
1.  Activate the function "User authentication" at the RW-480 
plotter. 
2.  Include all users intended for access control in the address 
book of the RW-480 plotter. To keep a better check on all 
used user names, it is advisable to enter the users with their 
network user names here. Please consult the corresponding 
manual for instructions on how to operate the plotter. 
If you want to set up several users at once, note all users 
with the corresponding user codes and passwords for the 
next step in RW-480 PLOTBASE! 
3.  All users you have set up at the RW-480 plotter must also 
be set up in RW-480 PLOTBASE. 
4.  Restart RW-480 PLOTBASE and RW-480 SCANTOOL if you 
have set up users while the RW-480 system has been 
running, so that the two programs can synchronise with the 
plotter settings. 
Note: The function "User authentication" is only active 
both for RW-480 PLOTBASE and RW-480 SCANTOOL 
as long as you have activated the settings of "User 
authentication" for printer at the RW-480 plotter! As
