Keeping Track of Everything
After designing your perfect Key layout and assigning all your
powerful Macros, how do you keep track of your creation? Well,
many people stop there, happy to have an interface exactly the way
they like it. However, the DX1 Input System offers more features to
customize the display of your Key layout.
Included with your DX1 Input system are two sheets of adhesive Key
Labels. The Key Labels contain many icons that you can use to
indicate the function of your DX1 Keys. There also are blank labels
that you can write on with a ballpoint pen to make your own labels.

To further customize you DX1 Pad, Ergodex Manager provides a
utility to design and print Skins that you can place underneath your
Key Tray to label your DX1 Keys and display your own graphics.
You can create plain Skins that simply call out the function of each of
your Keys or you can import graphics (“.bmp”, “.jpg”, and “.gif”
images) to completely customize the background of your Key layout.
In the Skin creation utility, Ergodex Manager displays a virtual DX1
Pad on your screen. You can drag icons representing your DX1
Keys onto the virtual Pad and arrange them as they are on your
actual Pad.
Each Skin you create is associated with one of your Profiles; you can
create a different Skin for each program you use. Skin information is
saved with your Profile, and can be edited and exported to share
with your friends.
Create and print paper Skins for your Profiles.
