Edit Macro Dialog Box – Multi Key Macro
For a Multiple Key Macro, you can insert the Macro sequence in the
yellow “Play on Press” edit box. For the example here, the keys “H”
“E” “L” “L” and “O” were entered from a regular keyboard.
The “Play on Press” edit box displays the keystroke sequence that
will play when you play this Macro. Click “Insert Special” to insert
navigational keys from your keyboard. For example, the left/right
arrow keys on your keyboard will move the edit cursor left and right
in the “Play on Press” edit box. If you wanted to insert a left or right
arrow key into your Macro sequence, you need to select it from the
“Insert Special" list.
The Key Action provides three potential views of your Macro. If the
Macro does not use timing (the “Use Timing” option in the Key Action
window is unchecked) only the standard “Macro View” will be
available.

If the Macro is specified to use timing (the “Use Timing” option in the
Key Action window is checked), the Key Action area will display two
additional view options for your Macro, “Timed Macro View” and
“Timeline View.” You can switch between the three views by clicking
the corresponding tabs in the Key Action area.
The Timed Macro View shows the precise sequence of keystrokes
(both down and up) that constitute the Macro. Keystroke presses
are shown with green down arrows; keystroke releases are shown
with red up arrows.
Following each keystroke event, there is a clock icon that displays
the precise time delay before the next keystroke event in your Macro.
Clicking on the time delay will open an edit window that lets you
specify a time delay between 1 millisecond and 5 minutes.
