RS-232—Slave mode

3.  Adapt the strings to slave mode format
Remove the backslash separator characters from the data strings
obtained in Display Data String Mode and adapt each string to slave
mode format:
<startB>
(<68>)
<
command
>
<
checksum
>
<stop>
(<6A>)
Example
To activate Code 39 from the host terminal in slave mode, you must send
the following string from the host terminal:
68414C605E6A
4.  Send the commands from the host terminal to the MicroBar NX
Transmit the commands from the host to the MicroBar NX. You can
send slave mode commands individually or make a list in a command
file.
The values displayed in Display Data String Mode are hexadecimal values. Make sure
that the values you send from the host system correspond to these values.
In our example, the MicroBar NX must receive the hexadecimal value 41 or its equivalent
(ASCII character "A", for example), not the decimal value 41.
5.  Save the configuration and quit slave mode
Commands sent in slave mode are not saved automatically in the
MicroBar NX memory. If you wish to save the new configuration,
enter the Update Current Configuration command (
РConfiguration
modes - Temporary configuration mode)—manually or using slave
mode.
To quit slave mode, rescan your normal interface number
(
Р
RS-232 - Predefined interface numbers) and reconfigure the
RS-232 output parameters to suit your system if required.
