2.b.3. Define 1 or 2 delays
You may need to insert 1 or 2 delay characters in the reformatted transmission sequence—
for example to give the host system enough time to process a page jump character before
the MicroBar NX transmits the next character. Delays can also be used in conjunction with
additional control characters to split a single code into two fields.
for example to give the host system enough time to process a page jump character before

Delay values are defined in increments of 50 ms using the
Number codes
provided at the
end of this manual—if you enter “1”, the delay will be 50 ms, if you enter “2”, the delay will
be 100 ms, to define a delay of 1 second (1000 ms = 50 ms x 20), you must enter the
numbers “2” and “0”.
be 100 ms, to define a delay of 1 second (1000 ms = 50 ms x 20), you must enter the
numbers “2” and “0”.
The maximum delay is 78 x 50 ms = 3.9 seconds.
Procedure
1. Scan a Define Delay code.
2. Scan a number corresponding to the desired 50 ms increment (

3. Scan End Selection.
4. Insert the characters “~” (7Eh) and/or DEL (7Fh) for Delays 1 and 2 when you define the
reformatted transmission sequence (
