The 1646 Receiver is a single channel Receiver for control of
motorized pan/tilt and lens units used with Matrix Switching
Systems.  The 1646 is used to control  a 12VDC pan/ tilt and a
motorized lens (zoom, focus, and iris) of a single camera, and
to control auxiliary functions at a camera site.

The 1646 Receiver has both Preset Scene and Auto Pan
capabilities.  The Preset Scene allows for the selection of
predetermined camera scenes while Auto Pan allows for the
selection of an automatic camera panning sequence.

1646 Receivers obtain either control code instructions or RS-
232 commands.  Control code instructions originate from
Switching System CPU's, System Input Bays, or intervening
Code Distribution Units, while RS-232 commands originate
from Code Distribution Units or computers.  

The 1646 Receiver also provides a Local Test Mode, which is
a test used to confirm correct setup functions, verify preset
feedback, confirm correct wiring, etc.  Refer to the Local Test
Mode section, page 7.
