The text entry method explained here is used to enter or
change names for address search, city names, Contacts,
areas to avoid and other text.

Enter the text.



Lower case text cannot be entered on the Input

street name and Input city name screens.

Once text entry is complete, select
[OK] or [List]*.

* [List] is displayed on the Input street name and

Input city name screens.

Note:



The number of characters that can be input varies

between entry items. Refer to the descriptions of each
item.



The keyboard layout can be changed. (



 Enter alphabetic characters

Select [A-Z].



Select [

] to enter lower case characters.



Select [

] to enter upper case characters.



When [

] is selected, [] is displayed.

 Enter accented characters

Select [À-Ý].



Select [

] to enter lower case characters.



Select [

] to enter upper case characters.

 Enter numerals and symbols

Select [0-9].



Select [1/2] to display the next page.



Select [2/2] to display the previous page.

 Enter spaces/Delete characters



Select [Space] to enter a space.



Select [

] to delete one character.
