Printout Problems
The application that you are
using to print may be the
problem.
Quit the application, and restart your
computer. Then try printing again.
Your computer may not have
enough memory to print the
data.
Reduce the contents of the print job, or
add memory to your computer for a
more permanent solution.
In Windows 95, the data
spooling format selected is
EMF.
Right-click the icon for your printer,
then click Properties. Click the Details
tab, and then click Spool Settings.
Check the Spool data format, and make
sure to select RAW as the default setting.
Some or all of the printout is garbled or printed as asterisks
Cause
What to do
The interface cable may not be
plugged in securely.
Make sure that both ends of the interface
cable are plugged in securely.
You may not be using the
correct interface cable.
If you are using the parallel interface,
make sure that the cable is a
double-shielded, twisted-pair interface
cable no more than six feet in length. If
you are using the USB interface, use a
Revision 1.1 cable.
If the printer still does not print
correctly, contact your dealer or a
qualified service representative.
