Escape. Prepares the printer to re-
ceive control codes.
Master Select

Selects 

1 of 64 unique print mode

combinations. Format:

ESC “!” n

where n stands for a number between

0 and 255.
Activates a character set.

ESC “%” 0 0

selects the ROM set, and

ESC “%” 1 0

selects the RAM set defined by ESC

“&“.

Defines user characters in RAM.

Format:

The 0 is for future use,   is the start-

ing character,   is the ending charac-
ter. Both   and   must be between

58 and 63 inclusive. If
