Make sure your printer is connected to your computer and turned on.
Then turn on your computer.

Wait for Windows to detect your printer and display a screen like this:
DON’T CLICK ANY BUTTONS ON THIS SCREEN.
Note: If a screen like this doesn’t appear, make sure your printer
is turned on and connected.

Put the Epson CD in your CD-ROM or DVD drive and wait a few
seconds for the CD to be recognized.

If necesssary, click Next on the Add New Hardware Wizard screen
to continue.

When installation halts, click Finish.

Your computer detects your printer again. Click Next.

The Add Printer Wizard screen appears, click Finish.

When installation halts, click Finish.

You see the license agreement. Read the agreement and click Agree.
You see the Options Menu. Continue with the instructions in
“Finishing Software Installation” in the next column to complete
the software installation.

a few seconds for the CD to be recognized.

Click Next on the Found New Hardware Wizard Screen.

Information Center.
Make sure your printer is on and the USB
cable is securely connected to your printer’s
USB port. If you still don’t see the screen,
try connecting your printer to a different 
USB port on your computer.
If paper is out, load more paper and press
the      paper button to resume printing.
If paper is jammed, press the      paper button
to eject it.
If the paper doesn’t eject, turn off the printer,
open the cover, and pull the paper out from
the front. Then reload paper, turn the printer
on, and press the      paper button.
Use new, smooth, high-quality paper. Don’t
load paper above the arrow mark inside the
left edge guide. Place paper behind the tabs.
Slide the left edge guide against the paper,
but not too tightly.
You don’t see the Found
(or Add) New Hardware
Wizard screen when
installing the printer
software.
The red       paper light is
on (nothing prints).
Paper jams frequently.

Click CD-ROM drive. Make sure Floppy disk drive and Specify a
location are not checked, then click Next.

At the next screen, click Next. Installation proceeds automatically.

“Finishing Software Installation” to complete the software installation.
Finishing Software Installation

Make sure you have paper loaded in the printer. Then click Print a
Test Page to check that your printer is set up correctly.

Click Install Epson Software Film Factory and follow the instructions
on the screen.
Note: If you see a message about installing QuickTime,
®
click Yes and
follow the instructions on the screen. You don't need a registration
number.

Click Install Epson Printer Information Center to install it on
your desktop.
Note: You need a browser—such as Microsoft
®
Internet Explorer 4.0
or later or Netscape Navigator
®
4.0 or later—to view the guide.

Click Add Epson Photo Website Links and follow the instructions
on the screen.

When you’re finished, click Back to return to the Options Menu.

Click Install Epson Web-To-Page and follow the instructions
on the screen.

When you’re finished, click Exit to close the Options Menu.

When you see the Epson Product Registration screen, register your
printer as instructed, then remove the Epson CD.
