In this section you will learn how to finalize your discs for maximum compatibility with 

other DVD players. You will also learn how to erase individual Titles from DVD+RW 

discs and play full titles, which is required to restore hidden Chapters. These edits can only 

be done from the DVD+R/+RW disc menu.
1 Insert a DVD+R or DVD+RW disc into the DVD Recorder.
2 Press Disc/Live to switch to Disc mode.

• The DVD+R/+RW disc menu appears on the screen.

3 Use the   /   buttons to select the desired Title.
4 With the Title selected, choose from the following options:

The Play Full Title feature allows you to view all hidden Chapters in the selected Title. 

You can then restore them using the Show Chapter option in the Edit menu.
1 With a recorded Title selected in the disc menu, press Edit on the remote control.
2 Use the   /   buttons to select Play Full Title and press Play  /Enter.
3 The selected Title will begin playing. Hidden Chapters will be shown with the word HIDDEN on screen during playback.
4 Press Edit to exit the Edit menu.

Finalizing a DVD+R allows it to be played in virtually any DVD player. It also prevents further writing to the disc.
1 With a recorded Title selected in the disc menu, press Edit on the remote control.
2 Use the   /   buttons to select Finalize and press Play  /Enter.
3 FINALIZE appears briefly on-screen and the DVD+R will be formatted for maximum compatibility and closed to further writing.
4 Press Edit to exit the Edit menu.

The Erase Title command allows you to remove unwanted Titles to free up space on DVD+RW discs for new recordings.
1 With a recorded Title selected in the disc menu, press Edit on the remote control.
2 Use the   /   buttons to select Erase Title and press Play  /Enter.
3 The selected Title is deleted and will no longer be visible on the disc menu.
