To connect your phone to a computer using a USB cable

Connect a USB cable to your phone and the computer.

Computer: If the Found New Hardware Wizard appears, click Cancel to exit the
wizard.

Phone: Select Media transfer.

Computer: Your phone memory is added as a removable disk in Windows®
Explorer.

Computer: If a dialogue box asks what to do with the files on the removable disk,
select Take no action.
If your phone has a memory card, this is also added as a removable disk in Windows® Explorer.
Transferring content
To connect a USB cable, see Connecting using a USB cable on page 4.
To transfer content using Sony Ericsson Media Manager

Connect the phone to a computer with a USB cable supported by your phone.

Computer: Start/Programs/Sony Ericsson/Sony Ericsson Media Manager.

Phone: Select Media transfer.

Computer: Select Portable device and click OK.

Wait until the phone appears in Sony Ericsson Media Manager.

Move files between your phone and the computer in Sony Ericsson Media
Manager.
Do not remove the USB cable from your phone or computer during transfer, as this may corrupt
the memory card or the phone memory.
For details on transferring music, click in the top right corner of the Sony Ericsson Media
Manager window.
Accessing music in your phone
You can access your music from Media and File manager. For more information about

To access media

From standby select Menu > Media.
To navigate your media

To access the File manager

From standby select Menu > Organiser > File manager.
