置いてはいけない場所

使用中、保管中にかかわらず、次のような場所に置かないでください。故障
の原因になります。
•

異常に高温になる場所
炎天下や夏場の窓を閉め切った自動車内は特に高温になり、放置すると変形し
たり、故障したりすることがあります。

•

直射日光の当たる場所、熱器具の近く
変形したり、故障したりすることがあります。

•

激しい振動のある場所

•

強力な磁気のある場所

•

砂地、砂浜などの砂ぼこりの多い場所
海辺や砂地、あるいは砂ぼこりが起こる場所などでは、砂がかからないようにし
てください。故障の原因になるばかりか、修理できなくなることもあります。

安定していない場所
製品が落ちてけがや故障の原因となります。

使用について

•

強い衝撃を与えたり、落としたりしないでください。

ラジオやチューナーの近くで使わないでください。

お手入れについて

•

汚れがついたときは、柔らかい布やティッシュペーパーなどで、きれいに拭き
取ってください。汚れがひどいときは、水でうすめた中性洗剤に柔らかい布を
ひたし、固くしぼってから汚れを拭き取り、乾いた布で仕上げてください。

•

アルコール、シンナー、ベンジンなどは使わないでください。変質したり、塗装が
はげたりすることがあります。

•

化学ぞうきんをご使用の際は、その注意書きに従ってください。

•

殺虫剤のような揮発性のものをかけたり、ゴムやビニール製品に長時間接触さ
せると、変質したり、塗装がはげたりすることがあります。

•

この製品は保証書が添付されていますので、お買い上げの際、お買い上
げ店からお受け取りください。

•

所定事項の記入および記載内容をお確かめのうえ、大切に保存してください。

•

保証期間は、お買い上げ日より

保証期間中の修理は

保証書の記載内容に基づいて修理させていただきます。ただし、故障の原因が不当
な分解や改造であると判明した場合は、保証期間内であっても有償修理とさせてい
ただきます。詳しくは保証書をご覧ください。

保証期間経過後の修理は

修理によって機能が維持できる場合は、ご要望により有料で修理させていただきます。

部品の交換について

この製品は修理の際に交換した部品を再生、再利用する場合があります。その
際、交換した部品は回収させていただきます。

部品の保有期間について

当社ではUSBクレードルの補修用性能部品（製品の機能を維持するために必要な部
品）を、製造打ち切り後6年間保有しています。
この部品保有期間を修理可能の期間とさせていただきます。保有期間が経過したあ
とも、故障箇所によっては修理可能の場合がありますので、ネットコミュニケー
ション カスタマーリンク（ソニーPDA専用サポートセンター）にご相談ください。

• Do not subject the unit to:

– Extreme heat or cold
– Dust, dirt, or sand
– High humidity
– Vibration
– Strong magnetic fields
– Mechanical shock
– Direct sunlight (for extended periods of time)

• Do not set the unit on an unstable surface as it may fall, causing injury or

damage.

• Do not drop the unit.
• Unplug the AC adapter from the AC outlet when not in use for an

extended period of time. To disconnect the power cord, pull it out by the
plug. Never pull the cord itself.

• Be sure that nothing metallic comes into contact with the metal parts of

this unit. If this happens, a short circuit may occur and the unit may be
damaged.

• Do not operate the unit if it has a damaged cord or if it has been dropped

or damaged.

• Always keep the metal contacts clean.
• Do not disassemble or modify the unit.
• While the unit is in use, it gets warm. This is normal.
• Keep the unit away from TV or AM receivers, as it may disturb reception.

Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a
mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of solvent, such as alcohol or
benzine, which may damage the finish.

Connect your CLIÉ handheld to your computer via USB Cradle as shown in
the illustration 1, 2.

 Insert the connecting plug of the AC power adapter to the

connecting terminal of this USB Cradle, and 2 insert the power
plug of the AC power adapter to a wall outlet. Then 3 insert the
USB connector of this USB Cradle to the USB port of your computer.

You need to connect the USB connector of this USB Cradle to the USB port of
your computer. If you connect the USB connector of the USB Cradle to
another USB port, such as a USB-hub, you may be unable to perform the
HotSync operation correctly.

Place your CLIÉ handheld onto this USB Cradle, and insert the
terminal of this USB Cradle to the interface connctor of your
CLIÉ handheld.

• When connecting your CLIÉ handheld to this USB Cradle, make sure

the connecting terminal of this USB Cradle is inserted to the Interface
connector of your CLIÉ handheld correctly.

• When charging your CLIÉ handheld with this USB Cradle, make sure

the POWER LED of your CLIÉ handheld is turned on and your CLIÉ
handheld starts charging.

• When detaching your CLIÉ handheld from this USB Cradle, tilt it

forward slightly and pull out.

Performing the HotSync operation with the cradle is called a Local HotSync

®

.

Place your CLIÉ handheld on this USB Cradle.

Press

 

 (the HotSync button) on this USB Cradle.

The HotSync operation starts.

• When the HotSync operation is complete, a message showing the

HotSync operation is displayed on your CLIÉ handheld.

You can assign your favorite applications to 

 (the HotSync button) on

this USB Cradle.
• For two or more CLIÉ handhelds, you can assign different applications for

 (the HotSync button) on e

ach one, so that the application that starts

depends on which CLIÉ handheld you connect.

Tap 

V

 in the top right of the Prefs (Preferences) screen and

select [Buttons].

The 

 screen for [Buttons] is displayed.

Tap [HotSync].

Tap 

V

 next to [HotSync] and select an application you want

to assign.

Tap [OK].

The 

 screen for [Buttons] is displayed. You can start the

selected application by pressing 

 (the HotSync button).

• N’installez pas l’appareil sur une surface instable, car il pourrait chuter et

risquerait d’être endommagé ou de provoquer des blessures.

• Ne laissez pas tomber l’appareil.
• Débranchez l’adaptateur secteur de la prise murale si vous avez

l’intention de ne pas l’utiliser pendant une longue période. Pour
débrancher le cordon d’alimentation, tirez-le par la fiche. Ne tirez jamais
sur le cordon proprement dit.

• Veillez à ce qu’aucun objet métallique n’entre en contact avec des pièces

métalliques de cet appareil. Si cela se produit, un court-circuit risque de
survenir et d’endommager l’appareil.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil si son cordon est endommagé ou si l’appareil est

tombé ou a été endommagé.

• Gardez toujours les contacts métalliques bien propres.
• Ne démontez pas et ne transformez pas l’appareil.
• Pendant son fonctionnement, une augmentation de la chaleur de

l’appareil est normale.

• Afin d’éviter toute interférence avec vos téléviseurs ou appareils radio,

gardez l’appareil éloigné de ceux-ci.

Nettoyez l’appareil avec un chiffon doux et sec ou un chiffon légèrement humidifié
à l’aide d’une solution détergente neutre. N’utilisez aucun type de solvant comme
de l’alcool ou de l’essence, qui risque d’abîmer la finition du boîtier.

Raccordez votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ à votre ordinateur via la station
d’accueil USB, comme indiqué dans l’illustration 1, 2.

 Insérez la fiche de raccordement de l’adaptateur secteur

dans le terminal de raccordement de cette station d’accueil
USB, puis 2 insérez la fiche de l’adaptateur secteur dans une
prise murale. 3 Insérez ensuite le connecteur USB de cette
station d’accueil USB dans le port USB de votre ordinateur.

Vous devez raccorder le connecteur USB de cette station d’accueil USB au
port USB de votre ordinateur. Si vous raccordez le connecteur USB de la
station d’accueil USB à un autre port USB, comme un concentrateur USB, il se
peut que l’opération HotSync ne se déroule pas correctement.

Installez votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ sur cette station
d’accueil USB, puis insérez le terminal de cette dernière dans
le connecteur d’interface de votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ.

• Lorsque vous raccordez votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ à cette station

d’accueil USB, veillez à ce que le terminal de raccordement de cette
dernière soit correctement inséré dans le connecteur d’interface de
votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ.

• Lors de la charge de votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ avec cette

station d’accueil USB, assurez-vous que le voyant POWER de
votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ est allumé et que la charge de
votre CLIÉ commence.

• Lorsque vous retirez votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ de la station

d’accueil, inclinez-le légèrement vers l’avant et tirez.

L’exécution de l’opération HotSync avec la station d’accueil est appelée
opération HotSync

®

Installez votre ordinateur CLIÉ sur cette station d’accueil USB.

Appuyez sur 

 (bouton HotSync) sur cette station d’accueil USB.

L’opération HotSync démarre.

• Lorsque l’opération HotSync est terminée, un message affichant

l’opération HotSync apparaît sur votre ordinateur de poche CLIÉ.

Vous pouvez associer vos applications favorites à 

 (bouton HotSync) sur

cette station d’accueil USB.
• Si vous disposez de plusieurs ordinateurs de poche CLIÉ, vous pouvez

associer, selon le cas, différentes applications au 

 

(bouton HotSync), de

façon à ce que l’application de démarrage dépende de l’ordinateur de
poche CLIÉ connecté.

Appuyez sur V dans le coin supérieur droit de l’écran
Préf. (Préférences) et sélectionnez [Boutons].

L’écran Préf. de [Boutons] s’affiche.

Appuyez sur [HotSync].

Appuyez sur V à côté de [HotSync] et sélectionnez
l’application que vous souhaitez associer au bouton.

Appuyez sur [OK].

L’écran 

 de [Boutons] s’affiche. Vous pouvez lancer

l’application sélectionnée en appuyant sur 

 (bouton HotSync).
