When aspect ratio information is attached to a RAW image shot with
any supported camera other than the EOS 5D Mark II, the image will
be displayed with the set trimming range based on the aspect ratio
information. Since the image is not actually cropped, you can change
the trimming range or revert to its condition before cropping.
However, when a JPEG image is shot in a [4:3], [16:9] or [1:1] aspect
ratio set with the EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 6D, EOS 7D Mark II, EOS
70D, EOS REBEL T5i/700D, or EOS REBEL SL1/100D, its trimming
range cannot be changed or the image cannot be reverted to its
condition before cropping, since the image is actually cropped and
saved in the set aspect ratio.
