Profile Properties: Dialup
The Dialup page is used to specify the number to dial in order to access a specific dialup
network from a specific location.
The version of this window pictured on the left below appears when creating a new
profile.
The tabbed version on the right appears when editing an existing profile.
Although the window controls vary, the actual parameters included are identical for both
versions.
Follow these steps to specify the number to dial.
1.
By default access telephone numbers are assumed to be local (i.e. you do not need to
dial the area code or other prefix prior to the number itself). If this number requires that
you dial the area code or you need to dial a special prefix prior to dialing this number,
check the Use dial properties box and then click the Dial Properties button and then
configure the appropriate settings as described in “Dial Properties” on page 70.
2.
If the Area code must be dialed before this number, enter it now.
3.
Enter the local portion of the number to be dialed (the portion that follows the area code)
in the space marked Phone number.
Note
Some versions of Sprint SmartView software do not support creating and editing Dialup
network profiles.
